About

The Manitoba Museum and the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra are excited to present two back-to-back evenings of music celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Planetarium and the reopening of the Nonsuch Gallery on July 3 and 4.

Immerse yourself in the special atmosphere of the Manitoba Museum’s Planetarium as we celebrate its 50th Anniversary. Musicians from the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra will expand your horizons with a concert of shimmering celestial compositions inspired by space, time and vision. Enveloping images of the stars, the sky and the universe will elevate the sounds of the music in this unique theatre.

There will be a cash bar and complimentary light appetizers will be served. The Science Gallery will be open before and after each performance. Guests are welcome to explore the gallery before and/or after the performances. Doors to the Planetarium will open 15 minutes before each performance.

A second performance of the same surprise concert will take place at 8:30 pm, also in the Planetarium.

Enjoy one evening for $25, or bundle for back-to-back evenings for $20/ticket! Use promo code “wsomm” to save $10 on your bundle. You must purchase one ticket for either performance of WSO Visits the Planetarium on July 3, and one ticket for either performance of WSO Celebrates the Nonsuch on July 4.
