Our dear friend Yasu Okano is coming from Japan for a visit, and we're throwing him a party! Big Dave McLean will play a special FREE show, and all are welcome. Bring the kids!

For those of you who don't know Yasu, he came to North America some years back in search of the blues. He was a young man with a love of music and adventure, and he wound up, quite miraculously, in Winnipeg at the Times Change Cafe where he discovered Big Dave McLean, Righteous Ike, Brent Parkin, Kristi Johnston, Dwayne Dueck, Gord Kidder, Debra Lyn Neufeld, BB Gordon, Chris Carmichael and many more wonderful welcoming people who gave him an experience he'd never forget. He lived here for a couple of years until his visa could no longer be extended, so he returned home to Tokyo, got married and continued his love affair with the guitar (especially, his hero, Ron Wood!). He has come and visited a couple of times since, and he's coming again THIS WEEKEND! Come say hello. You'll find him at the Trucker Blowout on Friday night, sitting in with Chris Carmichael on Saturday, jamming with Big Dave on Sunday, and at his party on Tuesday. It'll be a fun time!
