AKYLLA
Akylla brings together the strengths and genius of musicians Sherry St. Germain and Sara Saratonin for a live electronic music movement that carries a lifetime of collaborations and studio work. Their style was shaped in a ice cave near the north pole and their quality is secured by a considerable catalog of original words and music. SteveAoki, Excision, Snails, and Terravita are only some of their collaborators and Tomorrowland (Belgium), Shambhala (Canada), Burning Man (USA), and Envision (Costa Rica) are only some of the stages they’ve hit to date.

BOOGEY THE BEAT
Lesley Boulanger AKA Boogey The Beat is an Anishinaabe DJ and Producer. A member of the Berens River First Nation, he was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Working with fellow Indigenous artists such as Wab Kinew, Leonard Sumner, Drezus, and Winnipeg’s Most has earned him production credits on award-winning projects.  A collaboration with Winnipeg-based funk band Burnt Project-1 on the release titled ‘The Blacklist’ earned them a nomination for Aboriginal Recording of the Year at the 2013 Juno music awards.

SONS OF THE DRUM
Sons of the Drum is a traditional drum group formed in 2014, from Roseau River First Nation that have performed all over the continent, from Toronto to Albuquerque. Members of the collective are Bill Dathrill Atkinson, Darcey Wayne Henry, Frank Daniels Junior, Garrett Ryan Henry, Jordan Starr, Jordan Seenie, Matt Mousseau, Nina Assiniboine Francis-Henry, Tyson Keith Henry and Travis Henry. Sons of the Drum will be performing during the Wall-to-Wall Mural and Culture Festival Finale & Urban Shaman‘s Pop-Up Pow-Wow and BYOR (Bring your own regalia) in two pop-up, out-door, family-friendly locations in the heart of Winnipeg. The body of Indigenous regalia and dance encompasses a rich tradition of kinship and spirituality. Bring the family down to our mini, one day, urban pow-wow trail presented by Urban Shaman Gallery in partnership with the Wall-to-Wall Festival.

STUDIO 393
Studio 393 is a youth-led arts studio & an initiative of Winnipeg’s Graffiti Art Programming Inc. The space, located in the Portage Place Shopping Centre Skywalk, is dedicated to connecting emerging artists to each other and to community organizations that will help them grow as individuals and artists. Youth who frequent the downtown area are encouraged to stop in to Studio 393 and engage in activities designed to foster their creativity and promote expression. It is all part of a larger effort to capture the imaginations of youth in the downtown and focus their efforts on positive ways to grow and become an important part of the community.
