On Wednesday, September 26, from noon-1pm, the Winnipeg Arts Council are offering a sneak peek of their newest public artworks. All are welcome to join as singer/songwriter wanda wilson plays a short acoustic set at the Downtown Winnipeg BIZ’s pop-up at Kennedy and Graham. During the performance, wilson will lead her happy lunchtime audience, Pied Piper style, to nearby Air Canada Park where the Winnipeg Arts Council will give a guided tour of the new public artworks being launched as part of the major project THIS PLACE on Treaty 1 Territory & the homeland of the Métis Nation.
Four permanent public artworks by Indigenous artists will be officially unveiled at a celebration on Friday, September 28, 3:30-6:30pm at Air Canada Park.
