About

Sydney Blu has established herself as one of the top female electronic producers and DJs in the world. With an unbridled passion for live performance, music production, and all-around artistic creativity, Sydney has risen herself to the pinnacle of the electronic music industry.

In 2009, Sydney Blu founded her own imprint, Blu Music, on the principle of authentic, dancefloor-rich house and techno. The label quickly became a success, producing several chart-topping singles since its creation. On top of that, Sydney has released music on some of the most recognized labels in the industry including Mau5trap, Toolroom, Kinetika, Material Series, KMS Records and more. Her release "Give It Up For Me" on Mau5trap Recordings was one of Beatport’s highest selling songs, earning Sydney the rank of first female electronic music producer to have a Top 10 hit on the platform.

Sydney’s success is largely attributed to the relentless touring schedule which she’s upheld over the years. In the spring of 2010, after leaving a long time residency at Toronto’s Guvernment nightclub, Sydney landed a residency in Miami, Florida. Partnering with Opium Group, Sydney became a resident at Mansion Miami, the hottest club in South Beach at that time. Shortly thereafter, Sydney's North American performance schedule grew, headlining such major venues as Pacha NYC, Space Miami, Avalon Los Angeles, and Beta Denver. Then in November 2011, Sydney made her way at the Rogers Centre in Toronto, where she closed out the Deadmau5 Meowingtons Hax Tour before 25,000 fans. The evening went down as the largest solo headlining dance event in Canadian history.

With her first solo album, Relentless (2015), Sydney established a brand new sound for her name. Relentless explored authentic underground rhythms, ultimately jumping on the Canadian iTunes Top 200 Dance chart as well as debuting at #43 upon release before landing at #18 on the Beatport Top 100 chart. The singles from Relentless also saw individual success."Need I Say More" debuted at #18 on the DMC World Buzz Chart and remained in the Beatport Top 100 chart for three months, peaking at #17. "Teardrop" also debuted on the DMC World Chart at #13, while "Vnderground" and "My Neighbors Hate Me" charted on Beatport's Top 100. In November of 2015, the music video for "Electric Era" ft. Fritz Helder (Azari & III) debuted on Beatport News, skyrocketing the entire record on the Beatport charts once more.

Currently blazing through 2018's packed studio and tour schedule, Sydney Blu continues to build a name for herself through Blu Music, the Blu Party, DJ performances, and chart-topping productions.
