Singer-songwriter Lhasa Petik began her musical journey at just four years old, with a tiny violin, small enough to be mistaken for a toy. However, her real passion for music began when she picked up the guitar in 2014, and began writing her own music. Lhasa’s goal is to create forward thinking jazz and R&B influenced pop music, taking inspiration from her classical training and applying it to create a fresh and unique sound. She has performed her music at the Winnipeg Folk Festival as well as Many Fest, but has recently shifted focus to recording and producing. With two singles released, and a self-produced EP on the way, her music has garnered attention and support from a wide variety of reputable musicians, and labels, scoring her the opportunity of working with artists such as Chris Burke-Gaffney and Laura Brehm. She is currently working on a full length album which will be a collaborative project, and will be released in 2019.
