The Rady JCC presents the Family Music Concert Series featuring live and delightful performances by acclaimed artists! The series represent a diverse variety of musical genres. These are interactive, learning and engaging high-spirited concerts for both children and parents alike.
On Sunday, January 13 the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra comes to the Rady JCC with a fine string quintet.
Made up of some of Manitoba’s most talented music makers, the quintet, comprised of violinists Bokyung Hwang and Susan McCallum; violist Laszlo Baroczi; cellist Leana Rutt; and bassist Travis Harrison; has worked together for the past four years to bring classical chamber music to schools and communities across Manitoba. As part of the WSO's education & community engagement program, the group regularly presents an exciting and educational program which includes music from the great old composers such as Mozart and Tchaikovsky, turn-of the century masters like Bartok and Sibelius, and also fantastic Canadian composers such as Mozetich and MacMillan.
