Lilac Jam is a folk/americana/singer-songwriter duo comprised of Syd Kurbis and Sofia Friesen. With inspiration taken from the Secret Sisters, Brandi Carlile and Madison Violet, the two cousins offer deeply rich voices, meaningful lyrics, and harmonies as smooth and as rich as caramel and as sweet as jam. Playing some covers tributing their musical inspirations and some originals alluding to love and loss, the duo presents their voices, soothing guitar, and plenty of reverb.

Carter is a prairie soul who writes stories and melodies to make you feel some kind of way. In a roundabout way he hopes to bring you happiness. Inspired by the likes of City and Colour, Dan Mangan, and Said the Whale, guitar and voice say more than enough. His sounds and thoughts weave a rich web and leave room for reflection.
