About

BRANDI VEZINA
Brandi is a natural born performer who captivates audiences with her voice and stage presence. Her authentic country roots are intertwined with rock and the blues. Brandi is a force to be reckoned with – her rebel spirit is evident on stage and in her music.

Brandi is currently writing and in the process of recording with extraordinary producer, Murray Pulver. She is co-writing with local songwriter, Wes Wilson, with a planned 2019 EP release. Look out for her first single to be released in 2019.

Brandi started singing with the Why Knott Band as a teenager. She was featured on one of their albums. Brandi played gigs with the band, Wolven, in Richter and Ross, Manitoba and the Red Lake Metis Music Festival in Minnesota.

She has also sang with the Vezina Family Band representing Manitoba at the Batoche Days in Saskatchewan and sang at the Boggy Creek Metis Days. The Vezina Family Band is a respected family group who performs throughout Manitoba.

In 2013, Brandi was a second place winner at the NCI Jam at the Pantages Playhouse Theatre. Brandi has performed at the Manitoba Metis Federation Annual General Assembly in 2013, 2014, 2016 and 2017. She’s played the Aberdeen Street Festival and headlined the 2018 St Eustace Metis Days.

She is very proud of her Indigenous roots and represents the Metis Nation with class and grace. She was selected by Indigenous Music, Manitoba Music and the Manitoba Arts Showcase as an Emerging Artist in 2018.

BURNSTICK
It’s folk music that’s brimming with the kind of chemistry that could only come from a husband and wife.  Plains-Cree guitarist, Jason Burnstick, and Francophone-Métis singer-songwriter, Nadia Gaudet Burnstick are two performers whose voices and languages blend together with ease.  Jason carries with him his vintage Weissenborns, lapslide guitars and hard-edge songwriting, as Nadia shines through with enchanting vocal harmonies and insightfully honest lyrics – it is hard to deny the magic they create as they command the stage with their palpable performances.  In 2015, Burnstick journeyed into the world of children’s music, the time to create a magical all-original award winning lullaby album that married languages and bridged cultures.  Now coming back to their folk-roots, Burnstick has released two singles, Pay No Mind and Every Road, with an upcoming album to be released September 2019, promising to deliver refreshing and compelling folk music collaborations.

CJVY
CJvy is a new break out Indigenous urban Rap artist, who is currently making noise in the Winnipeg hip hop community. He is currently working on his first studio album “Legendary”, which is set to release this summer of ‘19. CJvy has live events scheduled all over Winnipeg, (see live events) The inspiration for his art has been centred for his love and music, and also for the passing of his mother, Glenda James.  That loss has pushed CJvy to involve him self in the music industry.

FONTINE
FONTINE crafts lyrics of unrequited love, getting over it, and finding new love. Originally from Brandon, MB, she has recently been creating new sounds in the flourishing city of Winnipeg, MB. She grew up in the musical theatre world but somehow found herself on a stage with a band, fell in love, and never looked back. You can catch FONTINE at Soul Night (every other Tuesday) where she sings with local Winnipeg band, The Solutions. She also hops up on stage with Liam Duncan to sing some sweet harmonies every once in a while. She is currently working on an EP with a release date that is to be TBA.

STUN
Stun is an aboriginal Canadian hip hop artist from Oxford House, Manitoba. Raised in the city of Winnipeg, he has collected numerous amounts of experience from all sorts. From the gangster lifestyle to the preppy school boy, he was not a lost soul with the culture built into his well being. Growing up around love and racism, the young man had gained knowledge from all types of influential individuals. He found the passion for music through a troubled youth. It was considered the best outlet for a way to speak from the heart, and so he did. From that troubling experience, an Emcee was thoroughly born.

Although, with the peer pressures of criminals and acquaintances, the talent only seemed to blossom. He went on showcasing his talent around house parties and close friends with nothing but good reactions in return. He then started chasing the dream that had been implanted into his brain. Carrying a family on his back while displaying the modern aboriginal lifestyle, Stun is nothing but passionate towards his dream. Stun made it quite known that he was a talented man that did not waste any time. With no one but his family behind his backbone, he stands with life’s realism and how it affected and influenced him to become who he is.

Living with nothing but quality, Stun is a good example of an exotic music artist.

THE BLOODSHOTS
The Bloodshots are a grunge reviving rock band out of Winnipeg, Canada. Formed in late 2013 they have built up a solid hometown following thanks in part to their high energy performances, catchy songs and tight stage presence. They even caught the attention of Vancouver based management company LCE Music and were taken on as a client. Online radio station 204thehitz has the band in heavy rotation with a high request rate and they're also received FM airplay in western Canada. The band has toured/played with other acts such as like GOB, Finger Eleven, Danko Jones, Moist, Econoline Crush, The Lazys, The Stantstills, Hawthorn Heights, Senses Fail, Jet Set Satellite, One Bad Son, CKY, Three Days Grace and more. In the fall of 2015, local radio station 92 citi fm held a fan voted contest to open for Finger Eleven on the Winnipeg stop of their tour. The bloodshots won this contest by a LARGE margin and their single "Breaking Down" was hand chosen by the members of Finger Eleven. Recently the band has worked with acclaimed Canadian engineer/mixer/Producer Dale Penner (Mathew Good Band, Econoline Crush, Nickleback) In studio.
