Indigenous North makes its Big Sound debut with three exciting artists from Western Canada. Featuring live music from powerful bilingual Métis singer/songwriter Renée Lamoureux, ground breaking hip hop duo Snotty Nose Rez Kids, and contemporary folk husband and wife duo Twin Flames. Renée Lamoureux
Known for her sweet but powerful voice and motivating message, bilingual Métis artist Renée Lamoureux has earned Best Female Artist at the 2016 Manitoba Country Music Awards, Indigenous Music Award nominations, and a #1 spot on the Indigenous Music Countdown. Her sophomore album Empower is slated for release this fall.

Twin Flames
Multi-award-winning husband and wife duo Twin Flames creates a sonic landscape that spans Canada and the Arctic. Honouring their ancestors, they sing songs in English, Inuttitut, and French that incorporate both Western and traditional instruments, pushing the boundaries of contemporary folk they have performed 900+ shows across Greenland, France, and U.S.

Snotty Nose Rez Kids
Snotty Nose Rez Kids are an on-the-rise Hip Hop duo hailing from the Haisla Nation near Kitimat Village, BC. After multiple awards and nominations for 'The Average Savage' SNRK released 'TRAPLINE' this year to critical acclaim. They're currently touring their high energy, inspiring live set in Canada, US, Mexico and Australia.
