It's a solo Indie CanRock double bill of epic proportions!

In this corner in the dark blue trunks, (“Dark Blue” is the title of his brand new album, recorded with Daniel Romano), singer/songwriter/guitarist from Guelph’s The Constantines - Steven Lambke! Steven has also recorded under the name Baby Eagle (whose first album was produced by Winnipeg power couple, Christine Fellows & John K. Samson). A line from the new album says plenty: “Don’t bring cut flowers to my grave, whatever place will mark me will be wild.”

And in the other corner is the blood and guts of Toronto’s By Divine Right - José Miguel Contreras! Despite tours with The Tragically Hip and having Leslie Feist as a guitarist for a time, The StuDome was embarrassingly oblivious to BDR prior to booking this show. But we’ve listened to almost nothing but their 2001 album “Good Morning Beautiful” for the last month. It might be our favourite record of all time. Top ten, for sure. José’s swell 2nd album under his own name, “At the Slaughterhouse” is fresh out of the gate.

This will be an early show on a Sunday evening - doors open at 5:30pm and the show starts at 6:00pm. Each artist will do a separate solo acoustic/electric set. Admission is $25 which all goes to the artists.
