The Prairie Vaudeville Revue carries on the great tradition of family variety entertainment. The art form known as vaudeville, where an average evening of entertainment consisted of dynamic singing, comedy and music, magic, circus and dance.
The show is curated and directed by Grant Simpson, 40 year veteran of vaudeville in the Yukon where he performed in and ran a 25 person vaudeville company that ran for over 40 years.
The show will feature international singing-comedy sensation Gillian Campbell, the epitome of a vaudevillian leading lady. It will also feature the magic and comedy of internationally renowned Brian Glow, the comedy and antics of Al Simmons, the poetry and stories of Peter Paul Van Camp, the Ninety-Eight year old vaudevillian veteran Howard Swan, the cabaret cheekiness of the Divine Miss Jones, The Ragtime Queen herself - Annie Avery on piano with a band made of Winnipeg's finest musicians, Grace Hrabi, Jesse Popeski, and Cameron Denby. Other acts will include Scott Nolan and others.
