Laura is a Winnipeg-based singer/songwriter who performs and records with acoustic guitar and voice. She has performed around Winnipeg for the last 7 years in many venues including the Park Theatre, Bandwidth Theater, Red River Exhibition, Winnipeg Free Press Cafe, and the West End Cultural Center. Laura was the winner of the first inaugural UMSU's Got Talent show at the University of Manitoba, and the 2013 Driven's Got Talent competition. Laura recorded her first CD of 8 original songs at Private Ear Studios in the summer of 2014, which was released on August 26, 2014 at the Park Theater. Her CD, entitled "Nothing to Prove" was nominated for a Western Canadian Music Award for Pop album of the year in 2015.             

Laura sings in a soulful, unique, and emotional style. She uses her music and lyrics as a way to fully express herself and reflect on the world around her, relationships, self-discovery/exploration, and day-to-day experiences that resonate deeply with the listener. Her music is influenced by many styles including rock, folk, blues, and pop genres.
