About
WEMS began in 1976 and has always been comprised of Winnipeg's enthusiasts of early music of all ages as well as amateur to professional musicians. WEMS welcomes people who are interested in great music of the past (meaning the music of the medieval, renaissance and baroque periods). We are comprised of several small ensembles, both vocal and instrumental, and many soloists. We have a wonderful annual tradition of performing each December at Sam's Place one Saturday afternoon of the year and look forward to the cozy atmosphere and wonderful food and drink!
