ROMAN CLARKE
It’s all about the music, and for Roman Clarke, it always will be. Especially the art of song craft, which is both his passion and obsession. His prolific catalogue is a reflection of his hardworking prairie roots, but the groove that comes through in his music are borrowing from influences far wider than his rural Manitoban upbringing would hint at. Blurring the lines between pop and r’n’b he uses his unique voice and style to tell honest stories juxtaposed over tracks that snap your head back with thick beats and uplifting synth arrangements. Though he cut his teeth on the music scene as a drummer first, gigging along side his musical family, and touring and recording with power-trio and best friends The Middle Coast, Michael Bernard Fitzgerald, and Joey Landreth, it would be a serious oversight to narrow him down to a working side man. He’s frighteningly versatile - equally comfortable behind the kit, at the piano, in front of a microphone, or in the producers chair. His new self-produced full-length album, “SCORCHER”, is evidence of this. With the exception of a few choice string parts, Roman wrote every lyric, played every instrument, and sang every vocal. His command of the creative process was fundamental in making this record and he was at the helm for every step, from the first demos through to the final mix. SCORCHER is Roman’s first real step into the world as a solo artist marking a turning point as he sets his sights firmly on his own path, bringing his uncompromising focus to the songs, the album, and to the stage, with tour dates around the world in 2019 supporting his new release.

FOWLER
FOWLER is an alt pop band from Winnipeg. With lead singer and guitarist Erika Fowler’s ephemeral voice and precocious songwriting, FOWLER blends genres. Developing her simple acoustic sound into a full band affair, Fowler plays alongside bassist Marco Freynet, keyboardist Luke Udod, and drummer Julian Brown. Their latest compositions are focused on blending her melodious vocals, acoustic guitar and indie-folk melodies with elements of synth pop, indie rock, and singer-songwriter genres. Having established a loyal local Winnipeg fan base in the recent months, their upbeat and energetic vibe of original groovy melodies are sure to get listeners on their feet.

HOUSEPANTHER
housepanther is a project started by Bailee Woods originally from Stonewall, Manitoba - the music is self defined as power pop, slacker rock for the anxious peeps of the world. Woods joined forces with childhood friend, Nick Mann in fall of 2017, and the pair have been playing live band shows with various friends since then! Club Soda Lows is the first album released in March '18. The album features a collection of ten songs written by Woods with parts contributed by friends. "Insecurity and self-criticism are easy to reckon with when delivered journal-style over their ‘90s inspired indie rock. Vocalist Bailee Woods will leave you feeling like you’re not alone." - Sled Island, 2018  "Woods’ music has a dreamy, ethereal quality to it, giving off a mood that walks the line between somber and content. It contrasts well with her grounded, brutally honest lyrics that deal with topics like mental illness, breakups, and online dating." - Sound, Phrase & Fury. INFLUENCES: Tegan & Sara, blink-182, FIDLAR, Wavves, Best Coast, Snail Mail, Soccer Mommy, PIXIES, Jeff Rosenstock, Weezer, Cloud Nothings, etc.
