Tomorrow (9/30) is Orange Shirt Day, a national day of recognition to commemorate the residential school experience, acknowledge the healing journey of survivors and their families, and commit to taking action towards reconciliation.

Phyllis Webstad, residential school survivor and Executive Director of Orange Shirt Society, whose brand new orange shirt was taken from her on her first day at a residential school, inspired the origin of Orange Shirt Day.
