ABOUT THE HOST
Sam Sarty is one member of band Living Hour. She enjoys thinking of expanses, like dark water, large gradient skies or a thought. Sam has been spending 2020 wandering around her apartment and learning to like snow again. She explores sound outside of Living Hour with expression of lyrical, vulnerable and ambient iPhone voice memos that ooze out when emotions feel large and she loves to see it. As an artist, she is working hard at a 4th Living Hour album and hoping to record early next year. She is learning new limits and dimensions of her voice through practice and experimentation. She's also capturing field recordings and working with her trombone to stretch the imagination of what a sounds can be. She's also directed and produced her first music video for "i sink, i sink" in March 2020.
