Much water can flow under a bridge in over 10 years. Some of it pools for awhile, long enough to catch a taste. Martin Blumrich, a Winnipeg based musician and producer released his first recording in 2006. Having played his music from British Columbia to Ontario since then, Martin drinks from a goldpan dipped in these eddies.
This music is not bottled easily, since it flows from an acoustic guitar stream, with heavy tributaries of synth texture, cello, electric guitar, and percussive elements. A man of both faith and doubt, to hear Martin's music in recording and to see him live is to experience an honest, reflective observer of life and a participant in it, playing his part in life and playing all the musical parts himself. Anyone who thirsting for beauty, please, take a long slow drink.
