Arts Award

City of Portage la Prairie mayor Ian McKenzie presented the 2005 Arts & Cultural Person of The Year award to Jerry Maksymyk , executive director of the William Glesby Centre. Maksymyk was cited for his work with development and promotion of local young performers at the Glesby, his dedication to introducing and promoting Manitoba performers thru the Glesby concert series, for raising the profile of the Glesby Centre within the performing arts community and for audience development.
