Arbra Hill is in the final mixing stage of its first full-length CD with High North Studios Engineer John Paul Peters. The band recorded through the late summer and early fall with High North Producer Joe Riccardo at High North Studios. "Joe is an incredible musician and talented producer who always went above and beyond to make our songs the best they could be," says Lisa Saunders, lead singer/keyboardist, Arbra Hill. Fans of the band may remember more of jazz/pop sound on its 6-song EP "Taste Test", but according to Saunders, "we really have moved into a pure pop sound."

"We knew we wanted to work with a producer locally and Joe was a no-brainer," says Rob Wozny, drummer, Arbra Hill. "Joe has played sax for us at a few gigs and he always made great suggestions for our songs. We are very happy with the recordings and are now fine-tuning the mixes before mastering," says Wozny.

The CD, still untitled, is a 10-song effort for the band that has been active in the Winnipeg music scene in the past four years. "We really wanted to take our time to make sure the CD is done to the best of our abilities," says Andrew Morden. The Arbra Hill vocalist/guitarist says the band really took the time to experiment with layering and subtle effects in the studio.
