DVD Project

Ukrainian folk fusion ensemble Paris To Kyiv and harmonica virtuoso Gérald Laroche have been selected to participate in a joint CINARS/Canada Council for the Arts DVD project called Canadian Elite in the Performing Arts. Over 70 companies and groups and artists applied, and 30 were selected by a jury to participate. Music, theatre, dance and multi-discipline artists were selected, including some very prestigious Canadian arts names like Silk Road Music, Les grands ballets canadiens, Trio Lorraine Desmarais, and The Bebop Cowboys. The Royal Winnipeg Ballet was the third Manitoba selection. 2500 copies of the DVD will be published and sent to entertainment programmers and buyers throughout the world, used by cultural agents in Canadian embassies all over the world, and presented by CINARS as a promotional tool when attending to markets all over the world throughout the year.
