Katelyn Dawn has been asked to perform at MIDEM, the worlds largest music conference in Cannes, France. She will be joining Ron Lamoureux, CEO of cafesonique.com, which is an international 3D music resource website for musicians and industry representatives from around the world. Katelyn has garnered significant interest from industry representatives internationally and as a result of this, Katelyn will be joining the cafesonique team as the only Canadian artist representing cafesonique.com. MIDEM, which is held every January, is where the global music industrys key players meet in Cannes to do deals, network, learn about the sectors future, and check out hot new talent. Today, MIDEM attracts nearly 10,000 delegates from almost 100 countries, from the recording, publishing, live, sync, digital and mobile sectors. It is as such the source of profitable new music business. Beyond its showfloor, MIDEM also offers high-level conferences, cutting-edge concerts and events, and numerous business services.

Katelyn will be showcasing at the conference, which will give her the opportunity to perform in front of numerous industry representatives. Katelyn along with her management team will be meeting with industry reps to set up upcoming International tours and potential working relationships with key industry people.

Katelyn released her debut album, Open Your Eyes, in 2006 which she will be promoting in upcoming tours. Her first single, 'Whatcha Got' from her debut album has received mainstream radio rotation on Winnipeg's Hot 103, across Canada on CBC Radio Canada, in France and has been featured on numerous other stations across the country.

Katelyn has performed at the Winnipeg Folk Festival in 2005 and 2006. She was also awarded a showcase spot at North by Northeast (Canadas Largest Music Conference) in Toronto. She's also performed at venues such as the Red River Ex, Pantages Playhouse Theatre, West End Cultural Center and her CD Release at the Ramada Entertainment Center and maintains a vigorous performance schedule in and around Winnipeg. Media appearances have included City TV's Big Breakfast Show, Shaw TV's Entertainment Corner, Winnipeg Folk Fest television taping, Kenora, Ontario's Backbeat 807, in studio live interviews on Hot 103 with Adam West, on Q94 with Troy Scott, an appearance on CBCs Up to Speed with Margo Watt, several ½ hour segments of Made in Manitoba and numerous other radio interviews.
