Tribute CD

Local ska label Bacteria Buffet is at work putting together a compilation album to honour the late Desmond Dekker, Jamaica�s �king of ska� who died last year. The album is set to be released in September at the Winnipeg Ska & Reggae Festival. Confirmed bands on the compilation include: Skavenjah (Regina), King Django (New York), The One Night Band (Montreal), One Drop (Victoria), The Furios (Vancouver), and King Kong Girio (Toronto). Local acts on the CD include The Afterbeat, The Seed Organization, and The Wedgewoods. Bacteria Buffet has indicated that there will also be some international surprises on the compilation.
