Nevertheless

The record is DONE. And we've got a Canadian release date set: November 6, 2007 (Six Shooter Records), if all goes according to plan. What a relief, I tell you. Cam went over and above the call of duty on the mixing (you all should hire him to record and mix your records, you won't be sorry), as did Joao Carvalho on the mastering, and I'm pretty stoked about the artwork - it's centered around a little work of genius by the inimitable Shary Boyle, photographed by William Eakin and painstakingly designed and art directed by Alicia Smith. Oh yeah, and the album is called Nevertheless.
I'm doing a couple shows in the fall, taking a trip out to Montreal to play a showcase presented by the folks at Said the Gramophone, a really smart and lovely MP3 blog. And in September, I'll be starting work on a score for a new work by Brent Lott for Winnipeg's Contemporary Dancers, which will premiere in March 2008. Meantime, I will likely get cracking on booking some sort of CD release tour or something in the near future, and will post those shows as soon as I figure out the where and when.
