Through friendship, Madrigaïa came together many years ago, and in friendship they now part ways. After eight years of hard work and good times, Madrigaïa is now writing the final chapter of their story.

Eight years, two albums and many national and international tours make a memorable career. Madrigaïas journey led them through wonderful opportunities, with trips to South America, Haiti, Europe, and high profile performances for Queen Elizabeth II and the Governor General of Canada. Their albums « Viva Voce » and « Pléiades » were praised nationally, and the latter, internationally.

Madrigaïa will offer their final performance on August 3rd, 2007 at the "Fêtes de la Nouvelle-France" in Quebec City.

The future is looking bright as each of them prepares for new adventures. Annick Brémault, Ariane Jean and Andrina Turenne are starting a new world-roots project called Chic Gamines, Brigitte Sabourin is pursuing her creativity in style, with a new career in hairstyling. Marie-Claude McDonald is already contemplating her next artistic project, with which she is sure to reach new boundaries. Sarah Dugas is already receiving rave reviews as the new lead singer for roots-soul outfit The Duhks. And Dominique Reynolds, who left the group this spring, has returned to her singer-songwriting roots with Dominique and the Saboteurs. One thing is certain, their voices will continue to be heard.

Over the years, Madrigaïa has touched its audiences, showing, through song, that it is possible to bring cultures together in harmony. They hope that their music will continue to resonate in the hearts of their fans long after their story ends.
