Music & Film Extravaganza Coming to the Park Theatre

Winnipeg, MB - Independent film-maker Ryan Souter is pairing up with Winnipeg pop band, Arbra Hill, to screen his new, full-length movie, "On the Edge of Crazy."

The three-day showcase will take place at the Park Theatre and Movie Cafe at 698 Osborne St. from Thursday, Sept. 13th to Saturday, Sept. 15th.

The screening wraps up more than a year of hard work by Souter, who began writing the script for "On the Edge of Crazy" in June 2006. Arbra Hill has spent the past few months composing the entire musical score for the project, including mood music and songs.

"On the Edge of Crazy" is a comedy about a young man in his late 20s who is desperate to impress a woman he�s infatuated with, and has one date to wow and woo her. But, a series of absurd circumstances get in the way, making the film funny and memorable

The endeavor is a bold move for Souter, whose credentials include working as an editor for Citytv Winnipeg, and an assistant editor for Frantic Films. Living off his line of credit, and with a meagre budget of about $1,200, he recruited friends, family and some of his contacts in the film industry to help make his dream a reality.

It�s a project that involves dozens of people, thousands of volunteer hours and a lot of hard work and creativity.
