Bassist Leaves Comeback Kid

Kevin Call, bassist for Canadian hardcore group Comeback Kid, has announced he will soon amicably part ways with the band. Three farewell shows have been scheduled in honour of Call�s departure: Dec 14 in Winnipeg, MB, December15 in Alexandria, MN and December 16 in Minneapolis, MN.

The following statement is taken from a blog posted by Call on the Comeback Kid myspace November 20th.

�Life has called on me to go in a different direction - one that no longer involves playing bass guitar in Comeback Kid. These past few years with this band have been the best years of my life. I've seen some amazing places, made some amazing friendships all over the world, and have grown so much as a result of playing in this band.�

Lead singer Andrew Neufeld expresses that he is sorry to see Call go but that the parting is on good terms. �Kevin has been a vital part of this band since he joined and has contributed so much in maintaining a solid lineup. We hope all the best for Kevin in his future endeavors.�

Comeback Kid will return in the New Year with an as-of-yet undisclosed new bassist. Neufeld explains, �I think we've realized with people coming in and out of this band that Comeback Kid is a collective of people who love hardcore and love playing music together. We hope to continue on in the same tradition.�
