Christian Dugas Joins The Duhks

Hey folks!
I hope the New Year has been a great one for you so far  that your hopes and dreams for your future are becoming a reality, the way they are for us!

As you know, there have been a lot of changes for the Duhks in 2007. In March, with sadness but also excitement for the next stage in her life, we said goodbye to Jessee Havey. As sad as the experience of letting go was, it really made us realize just how fortunate we are to come from such a vibrant musical community, in Winnipeg. Within a short time, we had gotten a hold of Sarah Dugas and she agreed to do the summer tour with us as our new lead singer. A few months later, she confirmed that she would remain onboard with us, and we are certainly glad to have her! The fan response has been fantastic, and weve been so excited to record a new album with her!

A few months ago, it was reconfirmed that change is inevitable when we received the very exciting news that Scott Senior and his partner, Tara Beckta are awaiting the birth of their second child!

With this news, Scott has decided to shift his priority from the road to home. We are sad to see our friend go, but we wish Scott, Tara and Gabriella all the best in welcoming the newest member of their family into the world!

Scott has contributed so much to the Duhks, and his role cannot be filled by just anyone! Luckily for The Duhks there was another Dugas waiting in the wings and wouldnt you know it, hes an extremely talented drummer! Christian Dugas is Sarahs brother and is also a former member of Leonards previous band Scruj MacDuhk. This sought after drummer has gone full circle and is now the newest addition to the Duhks!

Since Christian has joined the band we have wasted no time. We have spent all of November and most of December hiding out in the Dugas basement in Winnipeg, writing for the new album. We are now in the process of recording the new Duhks album with Jay Joyce in Nashville TN. We are very excited about the way things have come together and cant wait to share this evolution with you all!
