Hello hello. The last year has been especially busy for The Details. We released our debut-full length, Draw a Distance. Draw a Border. We toured coast to coast across Canada three times, did several mini prairie-trips, and hit pretty much every festival in across the country, including Canadian Music Week, NXNE, Sled Island, New Music West and more.

Now, rather than taking some time to catch our breaths, were instead looking forward to a year that promises to keep us equally, or more busy. In fact, here are a few exciting things that were happy to report:

Firstly, this Thursday, February 28th, our song A National Anthem will be featured on the new hit NBC show Lipstick Jungle. A National Anthem is taken from our latest release, Draw a Distance. Draw a Border. which is available online at www.cdbaby.com/thedetails.

Secondly, after charting nationally across Canada, The Details album Draw a Distance. Draw a Border. is making a name for itself south of the border. It just debuted at #107 in the CMJ Top 200, and with the network TV push, we hope to see it racing up those charts as well.

Thirdly, The Details have been invited to perform at both Canadian Music Week in Toronto, Ontario and South By Southwest in Austin, Texas. The Details play CMW Thursday, March 6th at Rancho Relaxo. Showcase time is 10PM. The Details SXSW showcase is Wednesday, March 12th at the Wave Rooftop. Showcase time is 11PM. More info at www.cmw.net and www.sxsw.com.

Foruthly, The Details just headlined a sold-out label showcase in Winnipeg. Toronto labels, Arts & Crafts (Feist, Broken Social Scene) and Six Shooter Records (Christine Fellows, Luke Doucet) were both in attendance for the packed house at Winnipegs Lo-Pub.

And lastly, The Details are gearing up for a spring cross-Canada tour in April and May. Tour dates are coming soon, but we are pleased to announce a hometown kickoff show on Saturday, April 12th at Winnipegs West End Cultural Centre. Local favorite Mike Trike, and Torontos The Coast open the show. Tickets are available at Music Trader and Into The Music.

Thanks for all your support throughout the last year, and hopefully well cross paths with you all again in the near future.
