The Winnipeg Folk Festival is pleased to announce additions to its already announced 2008 lineup, including

- Ray Davies of The Kinks fame: one of rock-and-roll�s most influential songwriters
- Jamaican reggae/dub legend Lee �Scratch� Perry
- son-of-legend Jakob Dylan & The Gold Mountain Rebels
- Ontario singer-songwriter Kathleen Edwards
- �human beatbox� Kid Beyond from California
- Australian folk-rockers The Beautiful Girls
- New York�s DJ Rehka
- Manitoba kids� performers The Aunt & Uncles
- local hip-hop act Grand Analog
- stringband Outlaw Social from B.C.
- folk/pop Pascale Picard Band from Quebec
- world music group Shtreiml from Montreal and Philadelphia

Plus, the Main Stage Schedule is now ready�subject to change, of course. The Weakerthans and Michael Franti & Spearhead play Thursday; Robert Randolph & The Family Band close out Friday; David Grisman, Calexico and Seun Kuti play Saturday; and Kathleen Edwards, Jakob Dylan and Joan Armatrading precede Ray Davies on Sunday night.
