Christine Fellows and her album, Nevertheless, have been long listed for the prestigious Polaris Prize.

The Long List consists of the top 40 full-length Canadian records released from June 1, 2007 to May 31, 2008, selected by the 180 members of the Polaris Music Prize jury. This jury consists of music journalists, broadcasters and bloggers from across Canada. No music industry personel with direct financial relationships with artists vote for Polaris.

The Polaris Jury will now vote from the Long List to determine the 10 album Short List, which will be revealed July 7 at the Drake Hotel in Toronto.

This is the third year of the $20,000 Prize which is awarded to the best full-length Canadian album, judged solely on artistic merit, without regard to genre or record sales. This marks the first year Polaris has made the Long List public.
