Candor Closing...

Hi Friends,

We received some sad and surprising news yesterday...

Candor will be closing it's doors as of September 30th/08.

The last several months have been slower than usual, and we had since had some trouble keeping up with the overhead - as many of you might know we had intentions of finding an alternative location - but we were not able to vacate without a sublet.

The landlord called on Monday notifying us that they had found a tenant willing to sign a 5 year lease, but needed the space for October 1st.

We now have 14 days to pack up and close. It has been very emotional but we're certain that this closure is only temporary , and that we can get on our feet by spring and open a new and improved central location.

We are trying to re-route shows that we already have booked, and plan to continue to produce some shows at other venues.

We will be asking all of our consignment folks to come pick up their items between September 22-25th (12 noon - 8pm.)

we are also planning an October fundraising social to help us tie up loose ends here, which will assist us in opening our new , yet to be determined, venue.

We'll post more details on that as they come in.

Thank you to all of the musicians, friends and family who supported us at this location over the last 2 years. Its been greatly appreciated.
