black-eyed SUZIE is incredibly excited to have been chosen as one of Winnipeg's feature full bands to open Winnipeg's very first Mac and Cheese Festival starting this Friday, July 19th at 4 PM!

The four piece band will be hitting The Main Stage at The Forks with a one hour set from at 7:30 - 8:30 PM entertaining locals, celebrity chefs, savvy cooks, entrepreneurs and corporate teams who will come together for the weekend to compete and whip up new mac and cheese concoctions for fans to try!

For those of you who have been following black-eyed SUZIE over the past few years, they'll be pulling out some lively crowd favs, like Whipping Boy and Sticks and Stones, along with some of their newest ambient alternative folk rock tunes that will be making their way to their new release in the coming months.

After leaving their country home and small northern community five years ago to start their lives over, mother and daughter, Christine and Jara Marek, hope to connect with Winnipegers through their time-honoured songs and stories, always seeking beautiful truths and strength in the shadows of life's complexities. Everything that you love about the 70's acoustic folk and 90's alternative rock vibe is what black-ed SUZIE is all about!

Please like and follow the band on Instagram and Facebook and be sure to check out their website at www.black-eyedsuzie.com for latest news, blog highlights, show schedule and links to their songs on Youtube and Bandcamp.
