LUANA MOTH invites you on February 28th, to a second installment of their "PROJECT QUASSIA" string of shows
By LUANA MOTH

Earlier this year, the avant-garde and seemingly genre blind sibling duo LUANA MOTH, held a show at Sidestage in which they cryptically dubbed "PROJECT QUASSIA (PHASE I). The conceptual show marked the beginning stages for the duo in revealing new material since the release of their debut self titled album. Not simply the debut of a new song, or a hyped up single release, but rather the slow unveiling of a new song piece by piece.
The duo's chief songwriter, and producer Antonio Mazza elaborates -
"The new material we played was a piece chopped out from something much larger we are working on. This particular new song is currently clocking around the 15 minute mark, and we don't want to cut too much of our original set just yet to make room for it. So I just picked a section, and reworked it to fit seamlessly into our original set. It will be constantly under the knife between shows so it probably won't be presented the same way twice"
Immediately after their first show this year, the band announced their second show, PROJECT QUASSIA (PHASE II) which will be held at The Handsome Daughter on February 28th. This time they have invited along the spellbinding, ambient sorcerer meanspath, and the improvisational, entirely live, synth guru Crabskull.
This show LUANA MOTH will feature another evolution of said new material, as well as The Interlake Museum of Anemoia Scarring. This curious, and esoteric exhibit that made its debut at the first show, is a collection of various artifacts and curio that pertain to Luana Moth the person, who happens to be the bands sole subject of interest in which they assumed the namesake of. The exhibit will be a fixture at all LUANA MOTH shows moving forward, and will also constantly evolve with the duo's vocalist Giovanna Mazza at the helm of curation and archival research.
