Not the First Girl, the sophomore album by Canadian singer-songwriter Kim Reimer, will be released by Tegancat Music in early 2009. Once again Kim demonstrates her songwriting and vocal prowess with 10 outstanding new songs skillfully performed and recorded. There is a well blended mix of up-beat pop-country gems with songs about life and love, travelling and homecomings. From a song about Manitoba's famous "half way tree" to the bluesy rocker "Tennessee," or the beautiful tearjerker "Human Race," Kim's sound is a result of her many influences. Artists like Fleetwood Mac, Jewel, the Dixie Chicks, and Sheryl Crow have played a strong part in Kim's growth as a songwriter and this album continues that tradition.
