Mãs Headspaces debut album, Saffron Airfield, is a musical montage of rock infused grooves that have been shaken up, turned inside out, and left to dry over a fanatic fire of funk. Saffron Airfield accomplishes all necessary goals of a debut album; it captures and holds the attention of the listener through diverse originality, eccentric hooks, and flavourful production.

Saffron Airfield weaves together a rich musical soundscape, including Adam Charboneaus experimentally theatrical (but irresistible) vocal layering, the screaming solos and danceable funk guitar of Jamie Cobb and Mitch Kruse, and the stone-solid rhythm section of Chuck Kovach (bass) and Mike Hrechkosy (drums) that keeps the beat tight to the point of snapping throughout each track. Mãs Headspace is reminiscent of classic rock and funk acts of the 70s, but with a contemporary twist of experimental quirkiness along the lines of a funked-out David Bowie or the Talking Heads.

The band has been a regular on the Winnipeg music scene for nearly two years, and their live show is an exposure of primal musical urges which is evident by their wildly energetic stage act and the non-stop dancing and cheering of appreciative audiences. Having spent most of their efforts in the last half year conceiving Saffron Airfield, the music scene can expect the triumphant return of Mãs Headspace this October!
