Winnipeg roots duo The Sturgeons are the musical equivalent of a prairie summer spent out at the family cottage. Ameri-Canadiana music at its best.
The Sturgeons have developed a sound not quite like anything you have heard before. They'll take you away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and bring you back to earth. Twin brother's Calan and Lucas Hamilton's eclectic brand of honest folk-pop has brought them critical acclaim, successful Canadian tours, radio airplay, and privilege of sharing the stage with some of Canada's heavy hitters. All the while never losing their signature grit. With two previous records under their belt, The Sturgeons are launching their 3rd album “Black and White” on May 30, 2018 at the Park Theatre in Winnipeg.
Their new release “Black and White” is a continuation of their signature style with knock-out harmonies, anthem choruses, old school recording with a spontaneous edge. These songs are self reflective,life affirming and will reverberate in your head and heart.
Plans are in the works for touring this summer.
