Coral Island marks Merin's first collaborative effort, following Cole Zachary's Space Camp EP, released as Merin in 2017. Coral Island combines Zachary's confessional lyrics and garage pop songwriting with the raw enthusiasm, experience, and energy of guitarist Kathryn Kerr, bassist Jordan Cayer, and drummer Joel Klaverkamp to create a spirited, yet melancholy power pop EP.
