Styles Makes Fights is the latest release from Winnipeg’s The Gumshoe Strut. This time around Gumshoe goes nine full rounds and comes equipped with an arsenal of externally charged songs that take aim at a variety of subjects but ultimately boil down to one thing - the fight.
With an enlightened approach to production and a concentrated vocal delivery, The Gumshoe Strut looks to deliver a comprehensive battering of his targets. "Who's On The Mic", "Muzzles" and "Time To Explain" challenge the antagonistic right, while tracks like "Maybe One Day", "Alright Alright", "Humble Abode" and "Ends Don't Meet" touch on a series of personal yet relatable battles that many of us experience. "Bus Stop Joe" is an upbeat tale that brings a playful balance to the albums closing track "Hold On", which is a brooding and ominous take on where the world is headed.
Styles Make Fights will be released on Saskatoon Folk Rap Records in partnership with Audio Recon and Your Brothers Records and will available on CD, cassette, and digital formats.
