They May Be Manatees is a new song written and recorded by yours truly, Anastasia Jane, which is a quirky little tune in the vein of Split Enz and other early 80s New Wave artists. The song is a cautionary tale about constructing our own realities and retreating into those constructed realities, which leads to unhealthy and damaging consequences. I use the example of sailors and mermaids of old to highlight this point.
