Mechanical Empath is the second full length album released by neuroshock, Ben Rüsch's solo electro/industrial dark wave project.

Mechanical Empath is a sonically harder hitting album than the previous neuroshock album, The Reactance Bias.

The new album, Mechanical Empath, is a primal scream, exploring familiar themes of alienation, self doubt, angst, need, and war - within and without.

Production began with a notion of creating a more primitive and linear feel for the songs, galvanized through the introduction of more distortion and use of heavy, raw vocals.

Vintage synth sounds created by Moog and Oberheim are found all over the album, along with cutting edge sound design using the Spectrasonics Omnisphere 2.

The result is an album that largely defies genres but never strays far from rüsch's industrial music roots.
