Introducing cafesonique.com

The music industry has a new forum to do business, one that's years ahead of what's on the market today. Cafesonique.com is the world's first and only 3D virtual music community that connects members of the music industry from every corner of the globe.

Musicians, singers, songwriters, managers, agents, producers, technicians, labels, music associations, buyers and listeners can gather virtually at cafesonique.com to participate in a whole range activities that cater to their professional and personal music needs. Users will be able to arrange meetings with representatives from all over the world, buy and sell products, exchange information, access training, schedule tours and post touring schedules, showcase music videos and play music, and even write music collaboratively-all on-line.

Cafesonique.com is the brainchild of industry leader and Winnipeg-based entrepeneur Ron Lamoureux, who founded and acted as the first president of MARIA in 1987. Lamoureux, a musician and producer, unveiled the developing website on November 9.

"After two years in development, we're thrilled to be able to show the world this new website," Lamoureux said in a press release. "Over the past several weeks we've been sharing our vision with music industry associates in Paris, Berlin and Copenhagen. They're very excited. What we've got is absolutely unique."

Cafesonique.com represents the future of the global music industry. Using advanced web and 3D design technologies, cafesonique.com is building a three-dimensional online music complex that will house in its virtual architecture office space, workshop areas, conference rooms, video screening area, listening stations, coffee shop chat room, members' art gallery, resource centre, e-store, artists' portfolios, bulletin board and job bank. Anyone familiar with the 3D gaming world will already have seen similar technology, but this is the first time it has been applied to this aspect of the music industry.

The international virtual launch of the completed site is schedule for April 2005. Until then, visitors can get a taste of what's to come by visiting cafesonique.com.
