Two New Signings for Smallman Records
Local indie label Smallman Records has just announced two new signings; Vancouver’s Daggermouth and Winnipeg’s own Sick City.
Smallman will release Daggermouth’s latest effort, Turf Wars, on March 13.
Sick City fans will have to wait until the summer for the band’s full-length debut which will be released on Trustkill Records outside of Canada. The band is heading into Atlanta’s Tree Sound Studio in March with producers Kenneth Mount & Zach Odom (Cartel, Jimmy Eat World).
Sick City recently played on the Taste of Chaos and Warped Tour, headlined a WCMA showcase, and just returned home from a successful tour with It Dies Today and headliners Papa Roach. January’s Alternative Press hailed the band as one of the “Hometown Heroes” for 2007 as well as one of the next 100 Bands You Need To Know.
The new signings come hot on the heels of the release of popular hardcore act Comeback Kid's latest release, Broadcasting, on Smallman's label.
Smallman is also home to Ghosts of Modern Man, Moneen, Selfmademan, Our Mercury, Sylvie, The Reason and more. The label also handles management duties for Sick City, The Reason, and Comeback Kid.
