Something to Phone Home About for Keith and Renee

Posted on

Pop/rock duo Keith and Renee have landed a major song placement that will see their song “Good Year” on television. AT&T will use the upbeat track, which appears on the band’s latest release Revolution, in a 30-second spot that will air on networks across America.

A prominent placement like this could definitely open doors for the duo in the crucial American market. Anyone who’s spent time on Google looking for the name of a band that had music in a cool car commercial will know how useful it can be to get a song placed, especially with a major international conglomerate.

"The placement came about through Luke Hits, who found our music on CD
Baby," says Macpherson. "He thought the song would be a really good placement
song and decided to start pitching it for us. We were coming off a plane in Vancouver when he called and told us he had our song placed in
an AT&T commercial. It was the best airport arrival ever."

Keith and Renee, formerly known as Easily Amused, have been busy promoting Revolution with international tour stops in New York, Los Angeles, Nashville, Toronto, and western Canada. The duo has been spending a considerable amount of time south of the border, where they recently written up in New York City’s The Boulevard magazine which quoted them as “one of the more important acts in 2008.” They’ll also shoot a music video for “Good Year” in New York this weekend.

Keith and Renee will head across the Atlantic to showcase at the CIRPA/Canada Blast showcase at the London Calling festival in London, England on June 19 at The Borderline. Meanwhile, local fans can catch Keith and Renee will on May 26 at The Forks performing in The Manitoba Home Coming Kick Off.
