The Winnipeg Free Press has unveiled the winner and finalists for its My City / My Song contest. JD Edwards' song "Easter Breeze" topped the list of 102 entries.

Sierra Noble and Scott Nolan took the runner-up spots while The Liptonians, Don Amero, Ken Pinchin, Annette Brown, Jason Gordon, and a team trio of Arun Chaturvedi, Darrelyne Bickle, and Chris Burke-Gaffney walked away with honourable mentions.

The Free Press launched the contest in December. The judging panel included producer Jack Shapira (Unison Studios), singer/songwriter Jaylene Johnson, Free Press writer Melissa Martin, CBC Radio host Wab Kinew, and The Harlots' Charles Garinger.

Edwards wins studio time at Unison Studios with Shapira, airplay on CBC Radio's Information Radio, and a CD prize package from Warner Music Canada.
