Manitoba Music at the Red River Ex

You may have been traumatized by clowns and rollercoaster rides as a child, but it's time to put those old fears behind you and head back to the Red River Ex. The popular summer attraction, which brings in thousands of visitors every year, is about more than just extreme rides and cotton candy. The Ex also boasts an impressive line-up of live music, including marquee names like the Sam Roberts Band and Marianas Trench. This year's festivities will also offer a strong dose of local talent, including a reunion of Manitoba rock heroes, The Watchmen, on June 16.

Audiences will have a chance to catch some more great homegrown music on June 16 at the Red Barn Stage. From 4pm to midnight, Manitoba Music will host roots/blues guitarist Chris Carmichael, pop singer/songwriter Jodi King, rock outfits Sons of York and The Perms, and alt.popsters M60 and Flying Fox and the Hunter Gatherers.
