Manitoba Artists Get Into the Holiday Spirit

Now that it's bitterly cold outside, the ubiquitous holiday tunes make a bit more sense. If you'd enjoy those happy winter favourites performed by some talented Manitoba artists, Manitoba Music can help you.

We've loaded the Manitoba Music Radio player with over 25 holiday treats, with more to come. Turn on the TV fireplace and stream songs by The Liptonians, Courier News, Alan Gillies, Doug Edmond, Lindsay White, Ray St. Germain, Jodie Borle, Jaylene Johnson, Nathan, Duet Maryna, Monika Loewen Wall, Barbara Joy, Cheering for the Bad Guy, Keith and Renee, The Details, J.P. Hoe, Joey Stylez & Jason Gordon, Quinzy, Jodi King, Heather Longstaffe, Voldis and the Melodicas, and Flo.

Hot 103 and QX 104 have also released their new Christmas CD, One Big Christmas, a 25-track CD featuring both original tunes and classic Christmas songs peformed by local and national recording artists. A sprinkling of the songs can be heard in our radio player, but you can get your mittens on the music from HOT 103 for just $10. The CD be available at HOT 103 Studios, in support of the Christmas Cheer Board and Siloam Mission.

Santa will also be in charge of The Loudspeaker offering up a new sonic Christmas cookie every Thursday in December. Oldfolks Home's home will kick things off on December 16 with more to come.

There are plenty of Manitoba acts getting in on the holiday action. JP Hoe, Doug Edmond, Duet Maryna, Jodie Borle, House of Doc, and Cat Jahnke all have christmas albums available. There are also a number of holiday shows on stages throughout the month, include JP Hoe's fifth annual Hoe Hoe Hoe Holiday Show at the Park Theatre, December 17 and 18.
