Three Awards for Manitoba Acts at This Year's North American Indigenous Image Awards

Three Manitoba artists have picked up hardware at this year's North American Indigenous Image Awards (NAIIA). The awards gala, which took place on April 29 in Albuquerque, honours the accomplishments of Indigenous artists working in film, print, comedy, photography, and music. This year's winners include Desiree Dorion, Jerry Sereda, and Eagle & Hawk.

Dorion, who had two nods for her debut Soul Back Jack album,  won for Outstanding Country Album.

Eagle & Hawk picked up an award for Outstanding Rock Metal Album with its latest effort, The Great Unknown.

Sereda continues to gain momentum this year, winning Outstanding Music Video for “I Ain’t Learned Nothing Yet”.

Manitoba acts earned six NAIIA nominations this year. Past award winners include Tracy Bone and Team Rezofficial.
