Local Bands Under the Big Top Fringe

Posted on

The 2011 Winnipeg Fringe Theatre Festival pitches its tent in the historical Exchange District for a 12-day theatrical extravaganza from July 13-24.

The Cube Stage will become the meeting place for artists and audiences to enjoy live music while taking in as much theatre, street performances, and street dogs as they can. Dozens of acts, including local bands and musicians -- as well as unicyclers, magicians -- will entertain on the outdoor stage every day of the festival from noon until midnight.

Our featured Download of the Week artist Jason Kirkness will be performing songs from his new album, Life on the Road, while Demetra, Sister Dorothy, Kobalt, and Jason Maas & the Lower Companions each perform a set between a variety of circus and comedic acts.
