The latest cold snap can only mean one thing...  Festival du Voyageur is coming! With a loud "hé ho", Manitoba's premier winter festival announced its programming for 2013, featuring even more music and venues.

Beyond the beard growing and maple syrup in snow, the February institution is a busy music festival, offering visitors a celebration of Franco-Manitoban culture with music taking centre stage. The 10-day event, which kicks off February 15, boasts 115 musical acts, many of which call Manitoba home.

The 44-year-old festival has built a reputation for booking diverse acts covering just about every genre imaginable, from traditional fiddle music to country to indie rock to roots.

This year's impressive list of artists includes some of the hottest local names in both French and English, including: Ça Claque!Alexander McCowanCrooked BrothersDaniel ROADon AmeroDust RhinosEnjoy Your PumasFlying Fox and the Hunter Gatherers, Imaginary CitiesJason KirknessJD Edwards BandKeith & ReneeKris Ulrich BandLost WeekendmarijoséeNamwira FolksPatti Lamoureux, Dan FrechetteRed Moon RoadSol JamesSweet AlibiThe Bros.
